Lil Kim is pumping the brakes on the release of her new album, 9.
Just a few short weeks after announcing its impending arrival, the Queen Bee took to Instagram on Tuesday to share the news that the project would be delayed.
"[My label] eOne has pushed back the date of my album," the veteran rapper posted on her Instagram Story.
She continued, "This has nothing to do with me. I am beyond upset with this and couldn't wait to show you all what I've been working on."
As previously reported, Kim was set to gift fans with her newest effort on May 17. When it's released, it will be her first album in over 10 years, following 2005's The Naked Truth.
The iconic femcee had teased the album's arrival late last month on social media, as well as during a recent performance in Atlantic City. Her Instagram account has since been wiped clean.
In the years since her last album, Kim has released a handful of mixtapes, including the infamous Black Friday, as well one-off singles such as "Nasty One."
Most recently, the Brooklyn-bred lyricist dropped off the runway-ready track, "Go Awff."
